Kinstone

I arrived at Kinstone on May 15, 2014. What an awesome place! Their claim to fame is a huge stone circle. There are also more enormous stones arranged around the property and even more naturally down in the woods. At first I thought the stones might be a bit much, but after being there and feeling the energy, I think that it is a great achievement. They are placed in a particular way to guide energy and line up with celestial bodies and events. Meditating in the middle of the circle was very easy and enlightening and walking the labyrinth can’t be described in words.

Kinstone is a permaculture academy north of LaCrosse, WI in Fountain City, WI and was started in 2012 by Kristine Beck and Wayne Weiseman

. They provide permaculture education in a classroom on site…

and have been working with the land according to permaculture design principles, including terracing, berms and swales, key lines,

natural building,

solar showers, composting toilet,

rocket stove, cob oven,

And now a worm farm, lol! That seems to happen when I am around…, etc. and the views were fantastic…

I spent my time there weeding, plastering the straw bale cabin and eating and sleeping to much, lol.
