Today I made boxes to go under the Flow Through (FT) bin.
A small amount of materials were leaking out of the bottom of the large wooden FT bin, along with a few worms, on to the floor. In order to give the worms a better chance, I made boxes to fit under the bin and each of the boxes got a few inches of soaked coco coir on the bottom of them.
The boxes were made out of 1×2 with a piece of fencing on the bottom. Then I used a trash bag to line the boxes.
It took some finagling, but I got the boxes to fit tight so hopefully they will make harvesting easier. We will see…
