I have spent about a week nonstop building a trailer.
I got a frame from Harbor Freight for 300$ which I thought was a good deal since comparable trailers run about 800$. I did not expect how time and money consuming it is to build sidewalls, floor and tailgate, however. Especially the latter was time consuming having to come up with a design that took in to account the width of equipment, airflow, loading with a hand truck, etc.
Also wiring was an issue, both the trailer and the truck. I now have sympathy for those fellas that run trailers without lights. It is very difficult to get them to work right and I could not find a guide on it.
But we got er done and took the trailer out on its virgin run.
Also got a new helper, James. Who has been invaluable in helping to get all this stuff together.
