So after a lot of challenges I finally think that I have my technological things in some what of an order. I have also come up with a way to organize pics and vids a lot better, so I will be posting a lot of info on my activities for the past several years over … Continue reading Getting a grip on Tech

Moving to Chicago
Well it has been nice here in MN, but I am excited to get to Chicago and start building urban permaculture systems. The Chicago office is going to be near Jefferson Park. We will still be selling vermi-compost out of MN on a limited basis for the foreseeable future, but the bulk of the business … Continue reading Moving to Chicago
Transplanting and Thinning
The babies needed to be thinned so I salvaged the strong ones for the AP system and composted the ones that weren't doing so good. Then left the strong ones in a staggered position in the planters and top-dressed with about 1/4 inch of vermi-compost. The next step is foliar feeding with compost tea. Also … Continue reading Transplanting and Thinning

DIY Berkey water system
I made a water filter using two 5 gal. buckets, Berkey water filters and a spout that could easily be used to filter out water nasties for an Aquaponics system or compost tea. I found the taste not to be as good as Reverse Osmosis however. Pics: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.665635600129905.1073741830.250581604968642&type=3
